Sunday Social

It’s time for Sunday Social, folks!

1. What is your all-time favorite song?

george

Run, by George Strait.  When Craig and I were dating long distance, it became our “song.”  It later became our first dance song at our wedding.  I just love George, so it worked out!

2. Who is your favorite singer/band?

country

Oh, that’s tough.  I love all sorts of music.  I’m a country fan, but with all of the dancing I’ve done growing up, I can also be accused of like pop, hip hop, all of the kinds my dad hated hearing from my bedroom!  My favorites would have to be country though – George Strait, Alan Jackson, Lady A, Eric Church.  I can’t pick just one!

3. What song reminds you of your childhood?

guyclark

Pretty much anything by Guy Clark or Lyle Lovett.  Both were artists my dad listened to quite a bit.  Hearing songs by them remind me of “bouncing” on our boat up on the Madison lakes.

4. What songs put you in a good mood?

Currently, “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction.  Embarrassing?  Yes.  But, I dare you not to smile listening to it.

5. What is your music to rock out to in your car?

sing

Oh the crappiest music imaginable.  I sing my little heart out.  I’m sure more than one motorist has gawked or laughed at me with their passengers.  That’s alright.

6. What is the most embarrassing album or song you own?

Craig and I just got done listening to a CD I made in high school.  “X ‘Gon Give it to Ya” by DMX was on there.  Yikes.  Along with some Good Charlotte, Whitney Houston.  Yeah, all on the same CD.  I had eclectic taste, what can I say?
